Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a water-soluble glycoprotein that is found in the placenta of pregnant women and is excreted from their urine after cleansing in special laboratories. HCG has similarities in action to the lutenizing hormone, which is the precursor of antiestrogen testosterone.
According to many studies, the use of gonadotropin orally does not give effects. Athletes used to increase testosterone levels (stimulate testicular secretion).
Before subcutaneous or intramuscular administration, hCG is diluted in an ampoule with special liquid substances that are attached to the drug. After administration, the drug is evenly absorbed and lasts up to 6 days.
After a course of using Gonadotropin in order to restore testosterone, it is recommended to use Clomiphene or Tamoxifen.
Promotes ovulation and hormonal activity in women. In the opposite direction, it enhances testosterone synthesis, spermatogenesis, and the development of genital organs is activated. In the presence of cryptorchidism, testicular prolapse may occur.
Gonadotropin should be dissolved immediately before administration into the body - only in this case you can get the most effects of this drug. Keeping the diluted preparation is prohibited!
The main component is Chorionic Gonadotropin with the addition of mannitol (20 mg.).
Indications for Use
Decreased functionality of the gonads, interstitial-pituitary insufficiency. It is used while taking steroids to avoid testicular atrophy and PCT.
Contraindications
The use of gonadotropin is prohibited if there are:
- hypersensitivity to the drug;
- malignant functioning of the mammary glands;
- intravenous inflammation, thrombophlebitis;
- pituitary oncology;
- hypothyroidism (decreased thyroid function);
- arterial hypertension;
- regular headaches;
- epileptic seizures;
- adrenal insufficiency;
- early puberty of adolescents;
- kidney and heart disease;
- venous thrombosis;
- bronchial asthma.
It is strictly forbidden to use Gonadotropin for children under 4 years old!
Dosage
The use of doses depends on various factors:
- After a cycle of steroids in a dosage of 1000 - 1500 IU (1 time per week throughout the cycle)
- Induction of ovulation in women - from 5,000 to 10,000 IU immediately, to stimulate the function of the yellow field - from 1,500 to 5,000 IU from 3 to 9 days after ovulation;
- Pregnancy support - immediately after diagnosis (up to 8 weeks). Up to a period of 14 weeks - 10,000 IU on the first day, then - 2 times a week for 5,000 IU;
- For the induction of superovulation - 10,000 IU in one go;
- With the threat of miscarriage - 10,000 IU per session, then - 5,000 IU twice a week;
- Delay in the sexual development of adolescents - from 3,000 to 5,000 IU 1 time for 7 days (course - 3 months);

Side Effects
The use of gonadotropin leads to:
- enhanced hairline formation;
- aggressive behavior;
- water retention in the body;
- early puberty, which is why gonadotropin is not allowed for teenage athletes.
Drug Interaction
Combined with menotropin and urofollitropin elements, increasing the likelihood of pregnancy, causing premature birth.
Storage Conditions
It is recommended to store this drug in a dark place with a temperature not exceeding 20°C (preferably in the refrigerator). Shelf life - 3 years from the date of production.
